Along with his knowledge in general orthopaedics, Jack W. Shilling, MD, has extensive expertise in total joint replacement,
specializing in the hip and knee, with special interest in the treatment of arthritis and osteoporosis.
His clinical research focuses on complications of the hip, along with innovative techniques and treatment in all areas of
surgical management. He completes a full range of joint replacements including revision joint replacement, less-invasive surgery
and partial knee joint replacement. Dr. Shilling comes to Einstein from an advanced private practice in Lancaster, PA, where
he served as an attending orthopaedic surgeon. Prior to that, he was medical director of physical therapy services at Lancaster
General Hospital, Susquehanna Division, also in Lancaster, PA, where he served as a member of the Orthopaedic Care Management
Committee.
Dr. Shilling earned his medical degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine, completed his residency in orthopaedic
surgery at the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY, and underwent fellowship training at the
Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He is a member of theAmerican Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
