
Mark J. Kotapka, MD, is the Chairman of the Division of Neurosurgery at Albert Einstein Medical Center. Dr. Kotapka has completed fellowships
in neuropathology, pediatric neurosurgery and cranial base surgery. Dr. Kotapka has vast experience in the treatment of benign
and malignant tumors of the brain, including pituitary and cranial base. He also has special interest in the treatment of
cerebral aneurysms, degenerative spinal conditions including disc disease and spinal stenosis, and the treatment of neurological
trauma.
Prior to joining Albert Einstein Medical Center, Dr. Kotapka served as Vice-Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at
the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and was Co-Director of both the Center for Cranial Base Surgery and the Pituitary
Tumor Program.
Dr. Kotapka is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
