On May 28, 2008, Albert Einstein Healthcare Network ("AEHN") and Jefferson Health System ("JHS") signed a formal separation agreement. On September 30, 2008, the parties completed the separation, and AEHN is no longer a member of JHS. The decision to separate came after careful and thorough reviews by both organizations, which led to the conclusion that both AEHN and JHS could best serve their respective communities by separating and pursuing their strategic goals independently.
